Assignment 1

I am taking this leadership because it was recommended to me by a friend. I spoke with her to learn more about the class and found it interesting. As for myself, I thought that it would be a great idea to take this course because I am a person who like to learn leadership skills use them in my everyday life. What I hope to get out of this course is a new positive attitude about myself and about what I am capable of becoming.

My attractions and fascinations as a child were mainly things that reminded me of movies. As a child I always loved to watch movies. I would sit at home in front of the televison and would recite all my favorite movies, which were Christmas time movies and Disney movies. I guess that is why I love things like snow, nature, fairytales, and love stories. These are thing that makes me dream.

When I was younger, the sense of touch is what I mainly lived through, but really I enjoed them all too. The sense touch came to mind first because I was always up under someone when I was little. It was either my parents or my grandmother. Their touch just showes me affection, care, and love. For the sense of seeing, I enjoy this because I can see all the beautiful things and the people around me. The sense of sound is also appreciated as well. Although I can't sing, I always had my father and my grandfather singing to me as a child, which is why I believe I show a strong liking to music.

I really can't remember what I use to dream about when I was little, but I do remember that I use to love playing with baby dolls as a little girl and taking care of them. I also remember taking drives in the car with my family sometimes. I would be in the car dazing out of the window always wondering how come the moon use to follow us everywhere. It was a pretty funny question then, but I was always curious about the things that went on around me. But other than that, I think that traveling and watching good movies were the things that I loved to do when I was younger.

One dream that I had when I was younger was to become an actress. Only a select few know about this, but not many. My parents always enforced another career over my life though and I just happened to fall in that direction that they wanted me to fall in. I'm not upset by not pursing that dream only because it was just an idea. A fantasy that I had when I was younger was just plain and simple; to be rich. I wanted a big mansion so that it could fit all of my family memebers and friends. Everyone was going to have their own floor of the building and I also wanted an amusement park the back of my house. Apart of me still love these things, but I know that in reality it probably will not happen. I guess you could say that it was just childhood dreaming.

I believe that some of those interests that I had as a child could point to actually fulfulling those dreams by going out to pursue them.
