FASTING AND PRAYING

Well I have come to a conclusion that for this week before the Horizon League Indoor Championship Conference Meet, I would like to fast and pray. I believe that I need to find myself and focus more on what I want out of life. A lot of things have been distracting me from getting done what I need to be done. Some of the things that I think have been putting a hold on me are things like social networks on the internet, my cell phone, and sometimes laziness ties in because of these two basic things. I want this weekend to be nothing but a big dream for me and so therefore I will be eliminating the usage of the social networks completely for this entire week. It will be hard for me but so far since this morning I have been doing well. I have been listening to my spiritual music so that it can counsel me and talk to me. I also will be limiting the use of my cell phone. I haven't called anyone today on it really and the texting that I have been doing hass been limited as well. All I need to do is add on my reading of the bible and then I will begin praying as well. Eating is another factor that will count into play for this as well because I want to eat a little less this week and only drink water for the duration of the week.

I hope that all goes well for me.! =)

UPDATE ON MY LIFE

(The UIC Female Flame Throwers)

I haven't blogged on here in a long time. I was just looking back on some of my old blogs and realized that blogging is a great way for me to just sit back and reflect on my life.

Well since taking the Leadership for Change class, I have seen my life ahead of me. I now am majoring in Psychology amd minoring in Movement Sciences. I feel like that is a great combination and I can't wait to start my life now just so I can begin doing what I want to do.

Something else that is also bringing me joy this semster is the Track team. Last semester was rough for me and eveything including track was failing me. But lately i have been improving and now i rank number 6 in my event for the Horizon League conference. This is very exciting for me because seeing that I am only a sophomore I have so much still in store. Although I'm not the greatest thrower in the world, I sometimes like to think of myself as being in the Olympics one day. No one ever said that you couldn't dream big.......and that is exactly what I am going to do! :)
